London Cow Parade: Milk Ma(i)de

Originally the brainchild of a Swiss window dresser, the Cow Parade is the largest and most successful public art event in the world, having been staged in more than 50 cities across the globe since 1998.

Funded by both private and corporate sponsorship, the Cow Parade invites artists to decorate life size fibreglass cows for display in strategic public settings, a selection of which are later auctioned for charity.

On October 10th 2002, 60 of the London cows were auctioned at Sotheby's Olympia raising nearly half a million pounds for the charitable organisations, Child Line and The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.

Worldwide these events have raised in excess of $ 20 million and have been witnessed by over 100 million people with contributions from more than 5000 artists.

Milk Ma(i)de was situated outside Tiffany's in The Royal Exchange Courtyard for the duration of the exhibition. As one of the most spectacular at the gala auction, the sculpture raised a considerable sum for the charities involved.

Harvey Nichols: Knightsbridge

In 2001 the window display co-ordinators for Harvey Nichols approached The DnA Factory to design and build a series of sculptures for the '10th Anniversary Celebration of Food and Fashion'.

The resulting installation; tornadoes of crockery, glassware and cutlery dripping with sensuous fruit juices electrified by neon, fairground lighting and strobes, cemented Harvey Nichols as a major force in dynamic display.

The accompanying mannequins were dressed by Marc Jacobs. Sculptures, neon visors and headwear by The DnA Factory
